Overview
Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer – Hardware Interface & SoC Development
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (Onsite)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to support the development and integration of low-level software for cutting-edge SoC platforms. This role focuses on hardware abstraction, peripheral driver development, RTOS-based applications, and deep system debugging. You will work closely with global cross-functional teams and contribute to the post-silicon validation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software for the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
- Lead or assist in SoC bring-up, including BSP (Board Support Package) and boot loader development
- Build and maintain test frameworks for bare-metal hardware validation
- Interface with peripherals such as I2C, PCIe, UART, GPIO, SPI, and DMA
- Create and manage multi-threaded applications using RTOS (e.g., Zephyr)
- Debug and optimize Linux kernel, drivers, and user-space applications
- Use modern CI/CD pipelines and debugging tools to ensure code quality and system stability
- Work with hardware and QA teams for post-silicon validation and system-level integration
- Provide regular technical updates and reports to senior engineers and management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience with C/C++ and Python in embedded systems development
- Strong hands-on expertise in HAL development
- Demonstrated experience in SoC bring-up, BSP, and boot loaders
- Proficiency in developing and debugging drivers for I2C, PCIe, UART, GPIO, SPI, DMA
- Solid understanding of RTOS like Zephyr and real-time embedded application development
- Experience in debugging Linux kernel and creating user-space applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments and version control systems
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) systems
- Prior experience with post-silicon validation in hardware labs
- Ability to optimize system performance and solve complex hardware/software integration issues
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹413,126.21 - ₹1,695,523.97 per year
