Espire Infolabs - Data Engineer

Overview

The Data Engineer will build, test, and deploy data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the hybrid ELT framework, integrating data from Salesforce and other enterprise sources into a governed PostgreSQL warehouse under Purview oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Fivetran connectors for Salesforce and other core data sources.
• Develop and maintain DBT transformation models for Silver and Gold layers.
• Implement data validation and quality checks across all layers.
• Optimize SQL transformations for performance and scalability.
• Align data models with KPI definitions and reporting requirements.
• Deploy code through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Support testing, documentation, and hypercare post-deployment.
  
  

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with DBT Cloud/Core, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in SQL, ELT pipeline design, and data modeling.
• Experience with DevOps and version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Understanding of data governance and cataloging (Purview exposure preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
  

• Familiarity with Salesforce schema and KPI-driven reporting models.
• Experience working in low-code or hybrid ELT environments.
• Register datasets, lineage, and schema in Azure Purview.
