Forward Deployed Data Scientist

Overview

*The Role *

As a Forward Deployed Data Scientist, you will be embedded with leading enterprises — tackling their biggest operational bottlenecks with data science that doesn’t stop at insight. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with domain experts, engineers, and business leaders to design, deploy, and scale outcome-driven systems.
You’ll bring the science, but you’ll also bring the execution. Your playground is the interface of data, business, and AI action.

*What You’ll Do *

1. Deploy Science at the Front Line (40%)
2. Engage directly with clients to understand high-stakes business problems (e.g., supply-chain risk, demand volatility, fraud detection, dynamic pricing)
3. Translate ambiguous domain challenges into rigorous data science frameworks: causal models, RL loops, decision systems

4. Build and ship production solutions: from data ingestion → feature engineering → model → deployment → measurement

5. Operate as the Science-to-Action Bridge (30%)

6. Work closely with platform and engineering teams to integrate your models into agentic workflows

7. Define success metrics and feedback loops — not just accuracy, but measurable business outcomes

8. Guide clients and internal stakeholders on how to interpret, trust, and act on autonomous data outputs

9. Advocate & Institutionalize Science Ops (20%)

10. Establish best practices for model governance, monitoring, and interpretation in high-impact settings

11. Mentor junior data scientists and ensure the science layer scales across engagements

12. Channel learnings from deployments back into Nablon’s AI stack — your work becomes the template

13. Grow Your Impact (10%)

*Who You Are *

• 8+ years in data science, applied ML, decision science, or analytics in consulting, enterprise, or startup environments
• Proven track record of deploying models or AI systems that create measurable business value
• Comfortable across the stack: data engineering, modeling, deployment
• Experience with causal inference, reinforcement learning, or LLM-driven workflows
