Job Overview
Kommon School is looking for a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our in-house tech team. You’ll work across the MERN stack with exposure to Python and AI/LLM integrations, helping us build modular web components, dashboards, backend systems, and more. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who loves full-stack challenges and wants to grow with an AI-first ed-tech product.
Key Responsibilities: Frontend Development (React.js)
- Build responsive, dynamic UI components using React.js
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs
- Optimize UI performance across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with designers for seamless UX
Backend Development (Node.js + Express)
- Develop REST APIs and backend services
- Work with MongoDB to manage user and product data securely
- Implement secure authentication and role-based access
- Improve backend performance and data handling
Product & Component Ownership
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and simulation interfaces
- Develop admin panels, learner tools, and analytics modules
- Integrate feedback loops and AI/ML models for performance analysis
Code Quality & Team Collaboration
- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code
- Use Git/GitHub for version control and branch management
- Participate in team stand-ups, sprints, and code reviews
- Support deployment and maintenance across staging and production
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and async programming
- Experience with Git, npm/yarn, and debugging tools
- Familiarity with deployment tools/platforms (Heroku, Vercel, etc.)
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
- Integration with LLMs, AI/ML pipelines, or Python backends
- Experience with Chart.js, Three.js, or D3.js
- Background in building dashboards, reporting engines, or edtech products
- Exposure to WebSockets, React Native, or Flutter
