Full Stack Developer

Overview

About the job:

VortexWeb is hiring a full stack developer who will build, extend, and maintain production-grade web applications used internally and by clients. This is a hands-on execution role. You are expected to write clean code, integrate APIs, handle real data, fix production issues, and document what you build.

Tech stack (Non-negotiable):

A. Core technologies:
1. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
2. MySQL/PostgreSQL
3. REST API Development
4. AWS (EC2, S3, basic cloud usage)

B. Frontend:
1. ReactJS
2. TailwindCSS
3. Redux (state management)
4. API integration using Axios or React Query
5. React Router for routing
6. JWT-based authentication (via Laravel Sanctum)

B. Backend:
1. Laravel (Preferred)
2. Authentication & authorization using Laravel Sanctum
3. Redis for caching and queues
4. XML processing using Laravel XML libraries (Spatie/XML, SimpleXML)
5. Task scheduling & background jobs using Laravel Queues (Redis/SQS)
6. Webhook handling for real-time data ingestion

Key Responsibilities:

A. Full stack feature development:
1. Build end-to-end features using React + Laravel
2. Convert UI designs into responsive, production-ready frontend components
3. Develop secure, scalable REST APIs
4. Integrate frontend with backend APIs cleanly and efficiently

B. Backend & data handling:
1. Design and maintain database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
2. Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access
3. Handle background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks
4. Process structured data including XML-based inputs
5. Build and manage webhook endpoints for real-time integrations

C. Frontend engineering:
1. Implement reusable React components with clean state management
2. Handle API loading states, errors, and edge cases
3. Ensure performance, responsiveness, and browser compatibility
4. Maintain clean routing and authentication flows

D. Application stability & maintenance:
1. Debug and fix production issues across frontend and backend
2. Optimize queries, API performance, and caching strategies
3. Coordinate with DevOps for deployments and environment readiness
4. Maintain backward compatibility when required

E. Documentation & code discipline:
1. Write readable, maintainable, and documented code
2. Document APIs, feature logic, and system behavior
3. Follow version control best practices (Git)
4. No undocumented shortcuts or hard-coded hacks will be accepted

A. Technical skills:

1. Strong hands-on experience with Laravel + React

2. REST API design and integration

3. Relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)

4. State management using Redux

5. JWT-based authentication flows

6. Redis usage (basic to intermediate)

7. Familiarity with AWS hosting environments

B. Experience:

1. 1 year of real-world full stack development experience

2. Startup, agency, or product-based experience preferred

3. Prior experience handling production applications is a strong plus

2. Comfortable working on both frontend and backend

3. Ability to debug without panic

4. Clear written communication and documentation discipline

5. Zero tolerance for sloppy, untested code
