Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Front-end development:
- Design and implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Ensure responsive design for mobile and desktop compatibility
- Optimize UI for performance and usability
- Back-end development:
- Develop and maintain server-side logic using languages like Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, or PHP
- Design and interact with databases (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints
- Database management:
- Create and maintain database schemas
- Optimize queries for performance
- Handle data security and integrity
- Version control:
- Use Git for source control and collaboration
- Manage code repositories (e.g., GitHub, GitLab)
- DevOps and deployment:
- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Configure servers or use cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Monitor application performance and resolve production issues
- Security:
- Implement authentication and authorization (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
- Apply security best practices (input validation, HTTPS, data encryption)
- Testing and debugging:
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Debug and fix bugs across the full stack
- Collaboration and communication:
- Work with designers, product managers, and other developers
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, standups)
