About the Role
We are seeking an onsite GCP Cloud Support Engineer to support, monitor, and manage Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role focuses on day-to-day cloud operations, Terraform-based infrastructure verification, Kubernetes workload support, and basic Red Hat Linux administration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite operational support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
Monitor, manage, and validate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (basic to intermediate level).
Support Kubernetes environments, including deployment verification, pod and service monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
Perform basic Red Hat Linux administration such as user management, service checks, log analysis, and patch verification.
Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and conduct first-level issue resolution.
Coordinate with offshore teams and cloud specialists for escalations, issue resolution, and planned changes.
Participate in shift handovers, documentation updates, and knowledge transfer sessions.
Ensure adherence to customer security policies, compliance requirements, and change management processes.
Technical Skills Required
Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Operational experience with Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, and basic networking concepts.
Terraform: Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts, modules, plan/apply workflows, and basic troubleshooting.
Kubernetes: Working knowledge of pods, services, deployments, and commonly used kubectl commands.
Linux: Basic Red Hat Linux administration including processes, logs, disk management, and networking fundamentals.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools.
Understanding of ITIL processes or production support environments.
Prior experience working in onsite–offshore support models.
