Growth Data Analyst

Overview

At House of Student, we are looking for a Growth Data Analyst who can act as a central data partner across SEO, Paid Marketing, and Product teams.

This role is not limited to reporting - you will be responsible for:
● Connecting multiple data sources
● Building dashboards
● Extracting actionable insights
● Supporting decision-making across teams
You’ll work closely with founders, marketing, and product teams to drive growth through data.

Key Responsibilities

1. SEO & Content Analytics
   ● Track performance of 1000+ landing pages (traffic, rankings, conversions)
   ● Analyze keyword-level performance and content gaps
   ● Identify opportunities for:
   ○ New pages
   ○ Internal linking
   ○ Content improvements
   ● Build dashboards for SEO performance tracking

2. Paid Marketing & Funnel Analytics
   ● Analyze performance of campaigns across plaSorms (Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
   ● Track:
   ○ CAC
   ○ Conversion rates
   ○ Funnel drop-offs
   ● Work with marketing team to optimize campaigns based on data insights

3. Product & User Behavior Analytics
   ● Track user journeys across the plaSorm
   ● Identify:
   ○ Drop-off points
   ○ Conversion bottlenecks
   ● Work with product team to improve:
   ○ Landing page performance
   ○ User experience
   ○ Conversion rates

4. Dashboarding & Data Infrastructure
   ● Connect and manage data from:
   ○ Google Analytics
   ○ Google Search Console
   ○ Ad platforms
   ○ CRM tools
   ● Build and maintain dashboards using tools like:
   ○ Looker Studio / Power BI / Tableau
   ● Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports

5. Research & Industry Reports
   ● Collect and analyze market data
   ● Support creation of:
   ○ Industry reports
   ○ City-level insights
   ○ Student housing trends
   ● Translate raw data into compelling insights and narratives
   Requirements Must-Have
   ● 1-4 years of experience in Data Analytics / Growth Analytics
   ● Strong proficiency in:
   ○ Excel / Google Sheets
   ○ SQL
   ● Experience with:
   ○ Google Analytics
   ○ Google Search Console
   ● Basic understanding of SEO & digital marketing metrics
   Good to Have
   ● Experience with:
   ○ Looker Studio / Tableau / Power BI

● Familiarity with:
○ Python (for data analysis)
○ BigQuery or similar databases
● Understanding of:
○ Funnel analysis
○ A/B testing

● Not a pure data engineering role
● Not a senior leadership position
● Not limited to dashboard creation
