Overview
iD Data Analyst - Intelligent Demand (iD) Program
We are seeking a motivated iD Data Analyst to join our commercial Analytics & AI team and support our Intelligent Demand (iD) program - an analytics-driven sales and marketing initiative with a strong focus on account-based marketing (ABM) and data insights for business growth. In this mid-level role, you will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment by handling day-to-day data operations, supporting ABM research, producing reports, and performing basic web-scraping to gather external data. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in SQL and data analysis who is eager to learn new tools (like Power Apps, Power Automate, and browser-based web-scraping extensions) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Campaign Analytics: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support account-based marketing research and targeted campaigns by gathering and analyzing data needed for ABM initiatives. Provide actionable insights that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions on key accounts.
* Day-to-Day Data Operations: Run and monitor daily data processes (such as existing Alteryx apps and workflows) to ensure data is updated and available for analysis and reporting. Proactively check data quality and address any routine issues to keep our analytics running smoothly.
* Data Preparation & Workflows: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and analyses. This may include writing SQL queries or making simple adjustments to Alteryx or other data workflows under the guidance of senior team members to meet evolving business needs.
* External Data Collection: Perform basic web-scraping using browser-based tools (e.g. Octoparse) and integrate third-party data sources to enrich our datasets. For example, collect firmographic, technographic, or intent data from external websites to enhance campaign insights.
* Report Production: Prepare and update ABM reports for customers and iD program KPI reports to track the program's performance and key metrics. Ensure that ABM campaign results, market trends, and other insights are clearly documented and visualized for stakeholders (e.g. in Excel or Power BI).
* Ad Hoc Analysis Requests: Respond to simple ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests from business stakeholders. Use Denodo, SQL and other tools to quickly retrieve, analyze, and present data (such as campaign performance data or account insights) in a clear, concise manner.
* Automation and Tools Support: Support the development and improvement of internal tools and automation workflows. Use Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to help build or refine simple apps, forms, or automated processes that streamline data collection, report generation, or other routine analytics tasks.
* Quality Assurance & Documentation: Contribute to quality assurance by validating data outputs and identifying any anomalies or inconsistencies in reports or datasets. Maintain up-to-date documentation for data processes, workflows, and reports to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and smooth hand-offs within the team.
Required Qualifications
* Education & Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
* SQL Proficiency: Strong foundation in SQL for data querying and manipulation is required. Comfortable working with large datasets in relational databases and writing efficient queries to extract needed information.
* Data Analysis Skills: Hands-on experience with data analysis and reporting. Proficient in using tools such as Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and/or basic business intelligence tools to analyze data and present findings.
* Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with data workflow or ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, SSIS, or similar) - you don't need to be an expert, but should be willing and able to learn to use these tools.
* Power Platform Familiarity: Comfortable with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate for creating simple applications or automated workflows. (Experience building or maintaining a Power App or Flow is a plus.)
* Attention to Detail: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. Ability to ensure accuracy in data processing and reporting.
* Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to work effectively as part of a diverse team, gather requirements from stakeholders, and explain data insights in business-friendly language.
* Agility: Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment. Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools as the analytics program evolves.
Preferred Qualifications
* Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with data visualization or BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for creating dashboards and reports.
* Marketing/Sales Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with marketing and sales data, especially concepts of account-based marketing or sales operations. Experience working with firmographic, technographic, or intent data is a plus.
* Data Integration & Databases: Exposure to cloud data warehouses (like Snowflake) or data virtualization tools (like Denodo). Basic understanding of how to join data from multiple sources, and an appreciation for data governance and security (e.g., understanding of permissions or data privacy best practices).
* Automation & Scripting: Any experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python for simple data tasks, or advanced Excel macros) is a plus, though not required.
* Continuous Learning: Demonstrated interest in emerging analytics technologies (for example, AI/ML-driven tools or advanced analytics techniques). A proactive attitude toward learning new skills that can enhance the Intelligent Demand program's capabilities.
