Job Description :

As a Director of Data Science & AI, you will lead our initiatives to harness the power of advanced data science methodologies, machine learning, and Generative AI to drive innovation and business transformation. You will play a key role in both pre-sales activities and delivery management, ensuring that solutions not only meet client expectations but also achieve desired business outcomes. Your expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises solutions will be vital as you guide our teams in architecting scalable, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

· Develop and execute a comprehensive data science and AI strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals.

· Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists.

Pre-Sales Engagement:

· Collaborate with sales teams during the pre-sales process to articulate the value of data science and AI solutions, tailoring presentations and demonstrations to client needs.

· Identify opportunities for deploying data science and AI solutions that address client challenges and drive business value, contributing to proposal development and responses to RFPs.

Expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning:

· Oversee the design and implementation of data science applications and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.

· Advocate for the adoption of advanced analytics capabilities, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.

Generative AI and Agentic AI:

· Drive initiatives focusing on Generative AI and agentic AI, exploring innovative use cases that can enhance business processes and customer experiences.

· Lead efforts to evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies that maintain a competitive edge.

Cloud and On-Premise Solutions:

· Architect and oversee the deployment of data science solutions that operate seamlessly across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructures.

· Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of data science solutions while adhering to data governance and security standards.

Delivery Management and Excellence:

· Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring that data science and AI initiatives are implemented on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.

· Monitor project progress and client satisfaction, making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.

Talent Development and Team Management:

· Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth, promote continuous learning, and encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration.

· Drive recruitment efforts, attracting diverse talent to enhance the capabilities of the data science and AI team.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

· Prepare and present regular project and performance reports to executive leadership, detailing progress, resource allocation, and direction for future initiatives.


Mandatory Skill Sets:

· Proven expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning.

· Strong knowledge of Generative AI and agentic AI techniques.

· Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises data solutions.

· Experience in pre-sales activities, including proposal development and client presentations.

Preferred Skill Sets:

· Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

· Prior experience in delivering scalable machine learning models and solutions.

Years of Experience Required:

14+ years in data science, machine learning, and AI, with a significant portion in a leadership role that includes pre-sales and delivery management.

Education Qualification:

Master’s degree or postgraduate degree in Data Science. An engineering background is preferred
