In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with strong knowledge of Automotive domain and experienced in validating and ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for IVI systems.
• Perform functional, performance, regression, and system-level testing on multimedia, Navigation, and connectivity.
• Validate automotive communication protocols (CAN, MOST, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, UDS, SOME/IP).
• Use tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark and oscilloscopes for testing and debugging.
• Conduct manual and automated testing using Appium, Selenium, Robot Framework, Python or CAPL scripting.
• Perform HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and vehicle-level testing.
• Identify, log and track defects in JIRA, TestRail etc collaborating with development teams for fixes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity) and AUTOSAR.
• Support OTA update validation, IVI security testing and ADAS integration.
• Document test results, analyze logs and provide reports for validation and debugging.

• 6 to 8 years of experience in Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for IVI systems.
• Hands-on experience with HMI testing, multimedia validation, and connectivity protocols.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Appium, Selenium, or Python-based Automation).
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).
• Experience with test tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, Vector tools, and oscilloscope.
• Knowledge of Android Automotive, QNX, or AGL-based IVI systems is a plus.
• Experience with HIL/SIL test setups and vehicle diagnostics tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Git, Jira and Confluence for project tracking.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  Education & Experience
• B Tech/BE in, Electronics/Computer science
• 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience in experience in IVI system testing or automotive software validation.
