IoT Full Stack Developer - Internship

Overview

About the internship:

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Build and maintain backend services on Zoho Catalyst (serverless functions, data store, APIs).
2. Integrate Zoho IoT data streams into the application layer - consuming MQTT event feeds and sensor telemetry.
3. Embed, customise, and render 3D BIM/CAD architecture models in the browser/web app.
4. Map IoT sensor data to 3D model elements for live overlay, timeline, and heatmap visualisation.
5. Design and manage data schemas for sensor-to-BIM element mapping in Catalyst DB.
6. Build REST APIs on Catalyst to serve IoT telemetry, alerts, and historical data to the frontend.
7. Integrate Zoho CRM/Zoho Books webhooks for subscription/access management sync and prepare analytics dashboards in the frontend.
8. Go live with paying clients by Month 2 - own the deployment, stability, and performance.
9. Post-launch: maintain and customise the codebase as per different client models, configurations, and data requirements.
10. Write clean, well-documented JavaScript / Node.js code across the frontend and backend.

Stipend:

INR₹ 6,000 - 8,000 /month

Other Requirements:

1. Recently completed B.E./B.Tech in CS, IT, or a related field.

2. Solid fundamentals in JavaScript / Node.js - frontend and backend.

3. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and cloud platforms.

4. Exposure to any IoT protocol (MQTT, HTTP) is a strong plus.

5. Strong basics in data modeling and a fair idea of working with databases - schemas, querying languages, etc.

6. Must be comfortable working under fast-paced startup timelines — Month 2 go-live with paying clients.

7. Should be enterprising enough to get the work done, even by taking support from any AI tool or coding assistant.

8. Quick learner with a problem-solving attitude - startup mindset essential.

9. High likelihood of absorption into the core technology team post-internship for the right fit.

10. Prior projects or a GitHub portfolio preferred.
