Job Description: IT Administrator
bimgrafX seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems run efficiently, and supporting end-users in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor IT systems, including servers, networks, and hardware.
- Perform regular system updates and ensure software and hardware components are up-to-date.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new devices, applications, and network components.
- Provide technical support for internal users, resolving IT issues in a timely manner.
- Perform backups and data recovery tasks as part of disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the maintenance of network security, including firewalls, antivirus, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure that all IT systems are compliant with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups within Active Directory.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand IT needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Maintain documentation for IT systems, including network diagrams and system configurations.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, including periodic audits and optimizations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user management.
- Basic understanding of network security principles and firewall configurations.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in IT administration or a related field.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Customer-focused with a strong sense of responsibility.
