To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
Job Description:
- Provide day-to-day IT support for end-users, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
Manage and administer Office 365 tools and settings for user accounts, permissions, and security.
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot access points and network connectivity issues.
Perform basic firewall management and support secure access to internal systems.
Handle laptop hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and minor repairs.
Assist in managing and supporting cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Document support procedures and contribute to the knowledge base.
Communicate effectively with users and team members, maintaining a helpful and solution-oriented approach.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
Good working knowledge of Office 365 applications and admin settings.
Basic understanding of firewalls and network security principles.
Hands-on experience with setting up and troubleshooting Wi-Fi access points.
Strong knowledge of laptop hardware components and repair procedures.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Day in the Life of a IT Administrator
Your day starts by reviewing support tickets and system alerts to identify any urgent issues. You assist team members with Office 365, hardware problems, or connectivity issues, ensuring smooth daily operations. Throughout the day, you troubleshoot laptops, replace faulty components, install updates, and monitor firewall and network activity for security. You may also set up new user devices or configure access points as needed. Working alongside your team, you help maintain stable cloud resources and document fixes or updates in the asset tracking system. Before wrapping up, you review any unresolved issues to prioritize for the next day.
