Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator to manage and support our company’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of our network, systems, and applications while providing technical support to staff and maintaining security protocols. The IT Administrator would report directly to the Director of Administration.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge:
Red hat (RHCE) or Cisco (CCNP) certifications.

The IT Administrator would report directly to the Director of Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Install and configure servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Install and configure network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Set up and connect servers, network printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Perform physical installation tasks such as rack mounting equipment and managing cabling.
- Install, configure, and update network operating systems, firmware, and management tools.
- Deploy network monitoring and security software to ensure system health and protection.
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Design, configure, and deploy network hardware and software to meet organizational needs.
- Implement network solutions including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions as required.
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and availability using network management tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure continuous and reliable connectivity.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates and patches for network devices and systems.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and usage statistics.
- Prepare and present network status updates to IT management and other stakeholders.
- Implement and manage network backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for network infrastructure.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet technology needs and requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
- Set up and configure workstations, printers, and other devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, TCP/IP, and Cisco Routers/ Switches.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Intunes management (Creating Policies & Scripts and Troubleshooting skills)
- Experience in Cloud Technologies will be an added advantage.
Red hat (RHCE) or Cisco (CCNP) certifications.
