Aon is looking for a ServiceNow Discovery specialist based in Noida, India. This specialist will drive overall adherence of CMDB tooling within ServiceNow at Aon, with concentration on Cloud Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, and ACC.

What The Day Will Look Like

IT Discovery , Service Mapping and Cloud analyst is accountable for overall infrastructure discovery and application service mapping.

• Administration of the ITOM module within the ServiceNow platform
• Works with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure that accurate service maps are discovered and maintained.
• Ensure that horizontal discovery and service mapping products are highly available, reliable, and performant.
• Establishes and maintains discovery schedules.
• Design, develop & implement patterns, probes, and sensors to achieve a complete and accurate discovery of infrastructure components and application services
• Manages ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping.
• Works with Cloud Team SMEs to ensure that Cloud API discovery is configured to run across by all Azure and accounts.
• Work to develop / implement cloud-based mapping functionality across all cloud resources.
• Work to develop / implement new Service Graph connectors.
• Work to develop / implement Kubernetes visibility agent to be able to discover containers.
• Monitors all discovery and service mapping results, reconciling, and addressing any anomalies.
• Proactively plans capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintains and configures appropriately.
• Participates in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation.
• May participate in projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.
• Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.

As an IT Discovery, Service Mapping & Cloud Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include

• ServiceNow Certification on ITOM module is mandatory
• Minimum 5-7 years of ServiceNow CMDB
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field preferred
• Expertise in creating transform maps, Identification and Reconciliation rules
• Expertise in integrating data into ServiceNow using Service Graph Connectors.
• Proficient in ServiceNow CSDM (Common Service Data Model) deployments
• Strong working knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud technologies.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, LDAP, Single-Sign-on, authentication, user and group policy objects, and permission levels
• Knowledge of UNIX or Linux Server administration, including user permission levels, SUDO virtualization, including VMware, containerization, and Docker and Kubernetes.
• High level of self- motivation and proactivity.
• Works effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field preferred
• ServiceNow Certification on ITOM module is mandatory
• Minimum 5-7 years of ServiceNow CMDB
• Expertise in creating ServiceNow Service Mapping, transform maps, Identification and Reconciliation rules
• Proficient in ServiceNow CSDM (Common Service Data Model) deployments
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including leveraging EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, and Cloud formation services in an enterprise production environment will be preferred
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, LDAP, Single-Sign-on, authentication, user and group policy objects, and permission levels
• Knowledge of UNIX or Linux Server administration, including user permission levels, SUDO virtualization, including VMware, containerization, and Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
