JOB PURPOSE:

The primary duty of the IT Analyst is to manage and administer IT functions at APAC offices (based out of Hyderabad site). The IT Analyst is also expected to assist other WSI Asia IT team members when required and as well as from members of the corporate IT team. The job role requires the person to be involved in the procurement, installation, maintenance of IT & telecoms equipment (hardware & software) and work from office location. This person will also be expected to support office associates and remote employees on the field with their IT requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Perform periodic risk assessments and initiate risk control strategies.
• Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.
• Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
• Work alongside other departments to achieve company goals and visions.
• Provide solution to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.
• Ensure that the company’s data and information are protected from unauthorized access.
• Supervise repair and maintenance of all IT equipment
• Submit and monitor request for new / removal of various system / user accounts to corporate IT for processing.
• Escalate IT hardware and software issues to vendor or corporate IT when required and following up.
• Execute proper IT plans around server room management, server backup plans and hardware replacement.
• Liaise with various IT vendors for hardware maintenance and manage them; and manage software licensing purchases.
• Develop and execute proper data security policies, managing data access, handheld devices and portable computer security.
• Document all IT procedures and update them regularly.
• Submit IT helpdesk ticket for support issues / request and manage them.
• Perform other IT job functions as instructed by Country/Operations/IT managers.
• Other duties:
• Office Equipment: Search quotations; prepare Purchase Application/ Work Order to send to Managers and Country Manager for approval (Some items need approval from Corporate Office). Proceed with purchase upon approval.
• Support CCTV/Security Systems/Door Access Systems
• Support Voice Network/Telephony System
• Staff commencement & separation:
• Prepare workstation, set-up laptop, office phone, IT related equipment, create email address, coordinate with WS Singapore/ US to issue user ID for newly joined colleagues to access into WS system for their work (depends on newly recruited positions).
• Distribute office access card (if any), office equipment and collect back staff’s signature on custody of company property (Asset Ownership Form).
• Set-up email auto-reply or auto forward, extract private phone calls for final payment preparation.
• Update monthly list of office portable assets as per staff custody of company property.
• Be responsible for Office tools & equipment’s fixing, repairing (in coordination with suppliers, agents, etc). Update repair log for IT Hardware.
• Coordinate with AP Accountant for annual fixed asset count, update of fixed asset register, office tool list.
  
  
  

JOB HOLDER’S COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

• Degree, Polytechnic or Advance Polytechnic (or equivalent) Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing all IT functions in a satellite / branch office environment.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge in supporting Windows 10/11 operating system, Microsoft Office 365 products, Apple devices and Mac OS environments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Competency in handing IT issues raised by users; and following up accordingly to closure.
• Familiar with enforcing corporate policies.
• Strong knowledge of internet security and data governance.
• Experience in network management with understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration and help desk support;
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation;
• Thorough knowledge of information technology, computer systems, applications, and networking;
• Experience with designing and setting up IT infrastructure in new office space is a plus;
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and coordination skills.
