Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure ( AI Database Architect-Snowflake) with 10+ years of overall experience in the IT domain to join our Caterpillar IT Division who will design, manage and optimize data platforms supporting AI initiatives. This includes product selection, logical architecture, optimization and disaster recovery strategies.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield, Bangalore Office.
What you will do:
- Coach and communicate information to Caterpillar’s application support teams and peers across the enterprise on Snowflake technology changes, new features, key projects, and customer experience improvements.
- Provide technical leadership for all aspects of environment management such as database lifecycle management, monitoring, support, disaster recovery, compliance, and standards.
- Research new data platform features, tools, and technologies with an Enterprise perspective to meet customer needs while maintaining a secure data environment.
- Research, benchmark, and suggest improvements to database support processes, customer experience (CX) improvements, and compliance requirements.
- Provide 4th level support for complex issues.
- Participate in and manage data related projects, audits, and compliance reviews and testing.
- Develop new and update existing data platform related documentation as needed.
What you will have
- Bachelor’s Degree and IT related experience
- 8+ year of experience in cloud architecture (Azure/AWS)
- 5+ year of experience on Snowflake database
- Vector database experience is plus
- Detail driven, analytical with problem-solving skills
- Strong skills in communication and collaboration
- Strong programming skills and working knowledge of procedural SQL and Python
- Advanced skills in database performance and SQL query tuning
- Database design and management experience
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and JavaScript
- Understanding of data pipeline engineering and ETL / ELT tools
- Basic networking experience

- Experience working productively with a geographically distributed team
- Have Snowflake administration experience and working knowledge of vector DB like Pinecone
- Experienced in implementing machine learning models for data analysis, prediction and optimization.
- Familiar with poplar AI framework and libraries
- Have Project Management skills
- Experienced in IT Service Management (ITSM) process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Having Cloud database certification is preferred

- The primary job location for this role is Bangalore, India
- Work Timings - 1:00PM to 10:00PM IST (Approx.)

- Evaluates IT hardware vendors in the market and selects the most suitable products for the organization.
- Guides employees on the integration of IT hardware throughout other organization-wide platforms.
- Supervises the implementation process of IT hardware ensuring consistency in productivity and overall effectiveness.
- Advises others on business standards and practices for IT hardware in order to meet designer requirements.
- Evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of an organization's hardware components.
- Diagnoses IT hardware problems and recommends dynamic solutions.
