About the job:
VortexWeb is hiring an IT executive - DevOps & systems operations who will own cloud infrastructure, application deployments, internal IT systems, and operational reliability for both client projects and VortexWeb's internal platforms. This is a hands-on execution role, not a coordination or managerial position. You are expected to build, deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, secure, and document systems independently. If you are not comfortable being directly responsible for production systems, do not apply.Key Responsibilities:
A. DevOps & Cloud infrastructure:
1. Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, CloudWatch).
2. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications.
3. Handle application deployments (frontend, backend, APIs) across staging and production.
4. Implement backup strategies, rollback plans, and uptime monitoring.
5. Optimize infrastructure performance, stability, and cost.
6. Enforce cloud security best practices and access control.
B. Application & systems operations:
1. Manage servers, hosting environments, domains, DNS, and SSL certificates.
2. Ensure environment consistency between development, staging, and production.
3. Troubleshoot deployment failures, server issues, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
4. Maintain deployment logs and operational runbooks.
C. Internal IT operations:
1. Manage internal tools, system access, and credentials.
2. Handle IT onboarding and offboarding (accounts, access revocation, system setup).
3. Ensure data security and access hygiene across all systems.
4. Support internal teams with system reliability and availability.
D. Reporting & monitoring:
1. Set up monitoring, alerts, and logs for applications and infrastructure.
2. Generate system health, uptime, and incident reports.
3. Track incidents, root causes, and corrective actions.
4. Support operational reporting for management review.
E. Company IT asset management:
1. Manage company devices (laptops, servers, hardware).
2. Maintain IT asset inventory with ownership and status tracking.
3. Ensure secure handling, return, and data wipe of devices during exits.
4. Enforce basic IT security and usage policies.
F. Documentation & process discipline (Mandatory):
1. Maintain clear documentation for: Infrastructure setup, deployment processes, access management and incident handling
2. Ensure systems are reproducible and not dependent on individuals.
3. No undocumented systems will be considered complete.

A. Technical skills:

6. Understanding of system and cloud security fundamentals.
B. Experience:
1. 1 year in IT operations/DevOps/Cloud roles.
2. Startup or agency experience preferred.
3. Behavioral expectations.
4. Extreme ownership of assigned systems.
5. Ability to work independently without micromanagement.
6. Comfort handling live production environments.
7. Strong documentation and written communication discipline.
8. Zero tolerance for sloppy access management or undocumented changes.
