IT Infrastructure Specialist

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's complex IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of various infrastructure technologies and a proven track record of managing large-scale environments.

Responsibilities:

*Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

-Design and implement robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.

-Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams and documentation.

-Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and performance.

*Infrastructure Management and Maintenance

-Manage and monitor the performance, availability, and security of all IT infrastructure components.

-Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in a timely and efficient manner.

-Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

*Network Administration:

-Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

-Implement and manage network security policies and procedures.

-Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.

*Server Administration:

-Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, including installation, configuration, and administration.

-Manage and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

-Manage and implement cloud infrastructure services.

*Security Management:

-Implement and maintain security best practices and policies.

-Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

-Respond to and mitigate security incidents.

*Collaboration and Communication:

-Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services.

-Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.

-Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

*Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.

*Extensive experience with server administration (Windows and/or Linux).

*Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.

*Strong understanding of security best practices and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).

*Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
