Working closely with the IT Operations Centre Management, the Infrastructure Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the 3rd Line IT Support Service for Infrastructure related items.
This role will be based in one of our Global IT Operations Centre based in either Chennai or Newcastle. The Infrastructure Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our Infrastructure employees are fully focused on ensuring that our infrastructure is managed across the Mott McDonald IT estate. They are also to maintain high levels of customer service while adhering to Mott MacDonald's policies and procedures.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and monitor operational services and security activities covering OLAs, SLTs in line with our KPI’s.
- Server and Network Infrastructure: Maintenance of server and network infrastructure. Ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Cloud Services: Managing cloud infrastructure (Azure) and ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems.
- Capacity Planning: Anticipating future infrastructure needs and planning for scalability.
- Lifecycle Management: Ensuring timely upgrades, patching, and retirement of infrastructure components.
- Security Best Practices: Working with the Secuirty team to Implement security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and encryption.
- Incident Management: Knowledge of ITIL methodology. Proficient in handling incidents, prioritizing tasks, and resolving issues promptly.
- Vendor Coordination: Ability to collaborate with vendors for support, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Leadership and Team Management: Managing a team of Infrastructure support analysts, assigning tasks, and ensuring productivity.
- Motivational Skills: Inspire and guide team members to achieve goals and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.
Candidate Specification:
- Experience managing people and high-performing teams
- Knowledge of software, networking, and hosting concepts
- Experience in administering and operating enterprise infrastructure environments, with Microsoft Technology stack preferred.
- Experience of handling incidents related to Servers, Networks, and other Infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Graduate or equivalent qualification in IT related discipline.
- Experience of using Service Now or Remedy (or equivalent).
- Excellent working knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and Firewalls)
- Experience in Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, MS Windows Server, storage systems and Backup technology experience (preferably Commvault).
- ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification.
- Experience of working in a global organisation.
