About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to own and scale IT operations for our India office. This role will act as the primary IT owner for India, working closely with the global IT function, PeopleOps teams.
This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who can balance day-to-day IT operations, employee support, and long-term system scalability, while ensuring alignment with global standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage end-to-end IT operations for the India office, serving as the primary point of contact for all IT needs.
- Implement, maintain, and support core IT systems including:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Endpoint security and device management
- SaaS tools and internal applications
- Define and enforce device management standards (MDM), security baselines, and laptop lifecycle management for India employees.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows in partnership with PeopleOps and Engineering, ensuring timely access provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Provide hands-on support for access issues, hardware/software troubleshooting, and IT-related employee requests.
- Coordinate with global IT leadership to ensure India operations align with company-wide security, compliance, and tooling standards.
- Manage local IT vendors, hardware procurement, inventory tracking, and office IT setup.
- Support IT aspects of compliance and audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) as applicable to India operations.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT management roles, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
- Deep experience managing SaaS tools, device management, and access control systems in cloud-first environments.
- Hands-on expertise with endpoint security, IAM tools, and MDM solutions.
- Strong operational rigor and ability to create scalable, automated processes.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently while collaborating with global stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical processes for diverse stakeholders
- Experience supporting security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Exposure to scripting or automation using tools like Python, Bash, or similar.
- Prior experience setting up or scaling IT operations for an India office.
