Job Description
The IT Manager will analyse current systems and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training to other team members. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience as a technical manager, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.
Responsibilities
- Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
- Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software and reporting this information to other IT leaders and stakeholders.
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, server systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
- Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
- Ability to understand and apply knowledge of network concepts, techniques, and principles.
- 5+ years of experience in IT management.
- Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (Microsoft365, Azure Cloud, Atlassian, Cloud backups), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
- Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Experience in network administration, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across environments.
- Competence in Entra Identity and Access Management, Intune, and Entra management, with hands-on experience in identity governance and endpoint management.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Jira ITSM for IT service management workflows.
- ITIL certification or General IT Management certification (CITM) preferred.
- Strong creative and analytical thinking, enabling innovative problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-through skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (both verbal and written), fostering collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
