Overview

Managed Service IT & Microsoft Infrastructure 2nd Level Engineer

Your Responsibilities:

• Operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT systems in the areas of Windows Server,

Active Directory, VMware, Exchange (On-Prem & Cloud), storage, and network security

• Basic knowledge of network routing & switching, firewalls
• Independent handling of service requests, incidents, and changes in accordance with

internal processes

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
• Close collaboration with colleagues and cross-functional teams

Your Profile:

• Completed IT education (e.g. technical college, apprenticeship, university of applied

sciences) or equivalent professional experience

• Solid knowledge of Windows Server operating systems:

o Active Directory including GPOs, replication, sites & subnets, OU delegated

permissions, tiering model

o DNS including replication, AD-integrated zones

o DHCP

o File Services

• Experience with VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, etc.)
• Structured and independent working style
• Strong team player willing to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment

Optional Hard Skills:

• Experience with PowerShell scripting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (e.g. IaaS, AD Connect, mail routing)
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange in hybrid environments (On-Prem / M365)
• Basic Linux knowledge (for monitoring and simple error analysis)
• Experience with NetApp storage systems
• Certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, or equivalent
