Job Description

An IT Project Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and closing of projects within the information technology sector. This key position involves managing a team of IT professionals, handling budgets, setting schedules, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. IT Project Managers are tasked with both technical and interpersonal responsibilities, ensuring seamless communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and sometimes customers. They must possess a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of the technology landscape to deliver projects that align with business goals and objectives. As an IT Project Manager, you can expect to be challenged with complex projects that require innovative solutions and strategic risk management, making this role both dynamic and rewarding.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
• Prepare and present project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact on project delivery.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate processes.
• Perform project closure activities and ensure all project deliverables are completed.
• Work closely with software development teams to track progress and resolve issues.
• Enhance team performance by offering guidance and motivation to team members.
• Assure quality standards are maintained during the project life cycle.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in project management within IT/technology environments.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and resolve issues effectively.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is considered a significant advantage.
