IT Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead our technology projects. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, leadership, and management, and have a clear understanding of IT systems, strategies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management:

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.

• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

• Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and manage IT staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Develop team through coaching, counseling, and providing career development opportunities.

• Coordinate and manage the team's resources and timetables with user departments and data centers.

• Technology Research and Implementation:

• Direct technological research by studying the organization's goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.

• Implement technology strategies by managing staff, researching solutions, and managing projects.

• Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.

• Budget Management:

• Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

• Control project costs by approving expenditures, administering contractor contracts, and ensuring efficient use of resources.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and information security and control structures.

• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

• Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.

• Professional Development:

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven working experience as an IT Project Manager, with experience in project management and knowledge of project management software tools.

• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
