JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking to hire a skilled IT support engineer to assist our service delivery team with IT related technical support issues. You will be supported by a global managed service provider, but will be the local point of contact. You will assist diagnosing hardware and software issues with devices, both windows and iOS and be the point of contact in the event of onsite repairs. You will be able to work on your own with minimal supervision but will report into the UK IT service team.
HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE AT JANES:
- Installing and configuring colleague’s computer systems.
- Recovering and swapping faulty equipment, recovering devices from leavers.
- Responding to colleague’s IT support requests, working onsite to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
- Liaising with our MSP and any suppliers to report and repair hardware or software issues.
- Supporting all users in the local office, maintaining spares, and ensuring fully audited and up to date records are kept.
- Proactive support of the local office and environment.
- Being central point of contact for all local IT issues.
REQUIREMENT:
- Knowledge of Office 365, and all suite of products.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Mac OS.
- Knowledge of Mac and Intel (DELL) hardware.
- Understanding of networking LAN WAN.
- Good time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working under minimum supervision.
- Ability to think critically.
NOTE: FOR THIS ROLE WE REQUIRE THE IT SUPPORT ENGINEER IN-OFFICE 4 DAYS A WEEK.
