IT Support Specialist

Overview

• Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Support:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, including motherboards, hard drives, RAM, and network components.
• Manage inventory and asset tracking of IT equipment.
• Set up and maintain servers, network switches, routers, and backup systems.

Software Support:

• Install and update software applications, operating systems, and drivers.
• Provide first- and second-level support for issues related to Windows, macOS, MS Office, email, antivirus, and business applications.
• Troubleshoot software errors, compatibility issues, and system crashes.
• Maintain and update enterprise software licenses and documentation.

Networking & Security:

• Assist in managing LAN/WAN infrastructure and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Implement basic cybersecurity measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and patch management.

User Support & Training:

• Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide remote or on-site support.
• Educate users on safe IT practices and usage of tools and software.
• Create and maintain user accounts and permissions in accordance with IT policies.
