Overview

Synechron is seeking a skilled Java Back-End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using Java technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives. Your expertise will be key to enhancing our software offerings and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our backend systems.

Software Requirements

Required Software Skills:

• Java (version 17 or higher)
• Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• Hibernate / JPA
• SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Microservices architecture
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
  
  

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with front-end teams, product managers, and QA to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Contribute to software design discussions and develop solutions aligned with architectural guidelines.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in Java and backend technologies to recommend improvements.
• Assist with deployment processes and support system operations to ensure high availability and performance.

• Java (version 8 or higher)
• Preferred: Java 11+, familiarity with Java 17+
  
  

• SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalent)
• NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) (preferred)
  
  

• Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) (preferred)
  
  

• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data
• Hibernate / JPA
• Microservices architecture (preferred)
  
  

• Git, Maven, Gradle
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
• Testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito)
  
  

• Basic security best practices (OWASP guidelines)
• REST APIs, JSON, XML
  
  

• At least 5 years of experience in Java software development.
• Proven experience designing and developing backend applications in enterprise environments.
• Experience working within Agile teams and understanding the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of cloud deployment, microservices, and containerization is preferred.
  
  

• Design, develop, and optimize backend components to support business applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and project stakeholders to evolve system architecture.
• Write technical specifications, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and project documentation efforts.
• Continuously learn and apply new technical techniques and best practices.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Oracle Java Certifications, Spring certifications) are preferred.
• Prior experience (minimum of 5 years) in enterprise software development with Java and related frameworks.
