Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director) Java Developer who will be responsible for analyzing user specifications and requirements and providing assistance in coding, testing and debugging applications.

WM Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

Middle Office Platforms

Middle office is a core foundation for E*TRADE. It provides the platform with key capabilities to support customer digital journey from opening an account, funding the account, trade and order management, portfolio/balances, and risk management on all digital channels. It also provides the capabilities for E*TRADE B2B stock plan business to manage participants lifecycle.

Software Engineering

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What You’ll Do In The Role

applications, or application components within the client websites and ensure delivery of the same.

minimal supervision.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
• Strong experience in building applications in JAVA (Spring Boot) and other open-source technologies.
• Hands on knowledge of working on Multithreaded application (Must-have)
• Excellent Design skills (Design Patterns)
• Experience in creating and consuming RESTful services and SOAP based Services.
• Object Oriented Design and development experience in Java.
• Should also possess database skills (preferably DB2, SQL Server) to design new or alter existing table structures to satisfy specifications and requirements.
• 2+ years of experience working in test-drive development & continuous integration model.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Apache Kafka , Apache Camel and other programming languages like python and Perl.
• Experience in MongoDB and Web-sphere MQ would be good though it’s not mandatory required skill.
• Working experience with agile methodologies would be useful.
