Job SummarySynechron is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our technology team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality Java-based applications that support enterprise operations. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams to implement innovative features, ensure code quality, and contribute to the continuous improvement of software solutions aligned with strategic business goals. This position is integral to delivering reliable, secure, and efficient systems that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Software Requirements
- Required:
- Java (version 8 or higher), including Java EE platform
- Web frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, JSF (JavaServer Faces)
- Version control: Git (GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab)
- Build tools: Maven or Gradle
- RESTful web services development and integration (SOAP/REST)
- Relational databases: SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Development environments: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans
- Preferred:
- Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Automated testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications and web services.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and improve existing functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, peer testing, and refactoring to ensure high code quality.
- Debug and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Work closely with product owners and analysts to clarify requirements and provide technical insights.
- Stay informed about emerging Java technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into projects.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and ongoing process improvements.
- Programming Languages:
- Required: Java (8+), JavaScript (preferred for front-end interaction)
- Preferred: Other scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation or deployment tasks
- Databases/Data Management:
- Required: SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Preferred: NoSQL systems (MongoDB), data modeling, and query optimization
- Cloud Technologies:
- Preferred: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deployment and scaling
- Frameworks and Libraries:
- Required: Spring, Hibernate, JSF, REST API development
- Preferred: Testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG), security libraries (Spring Security)
- Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Required: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins (for CI/CD)
- Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for project management
- Security Protocols:
- Knowledge of secure coding principles, authentication, and authorization strategies in Java applications.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional Java development experience in enterprise or solutions environments.
- Proven track record of developing scalable applications using Java EE, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Experience in delivering web services, RESTful APIs, and integrating with backend systems.
- Previous involvement in Agile project cycles and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Industry experience in banking, finance, or enterprise solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Alternative: Extensive full-stack experience demonstrating expertise in Java and related technologies.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize Java applications and web services.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, UI/UX designers, QA testers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring the timely resolution of bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing technical input.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, system architecture, and implementation decisions.
- Keep current with new Java features, frameworks, and industry trends, assessing their applicability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 11 Developer or higher) are preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying Java enterprise applications.
