Java Developer - Director - Software Engineering
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director) Java Developer who will be responsible for integrating data from multiple source platforms using SOAP, REST, Java and Apache Camel, loading data into a MongoDB database, and designing and optimizing database structures. Additionally, the role involves building RESTful services for use by downstream consumers and ensuring the security of sensitive HR data through advanced data encryption technologies.

ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

What You’ll Do In The Role
- Extract, transform, and load data from various platforms into MongoDB using SOAP, REST, Java, and Apache Camel.
- Design and optimize database structures in MongoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and maintain RESTful services to support data integration and access.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and system interoperability.
- Implement and maintain data encryption technologies to protect sensitive HR data.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues in a timely manner.
- At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role as a hands-on developer in Information Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of No-SQL database development experience, with a solid understanding of core database concepts and database design; experience with MongoDB is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Apache Camel.
- At least 5 years of core Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot (both Web and Core).
- Strong foundation in RESTful design practices and familiarity with the Open API Specification.
- Proficient understanding of bi-temporal data.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with HR systems. Prior experience with the Workday Public Services API a big plus.
- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee for 3+ years.
- Experience with data encryption technologies and data security.
