Job Summary:

As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for testing our software applications to ensure they meet the required quality standards and provide a seamless experience to end-users. You will work closely with the development and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues in the software before its release.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning: Assist in the creation of test cases and test plans for software applications.

Manual Testing: Execute manual testing processes, including functional testing, UI testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Bug Identification: Identify, document, and report software defects and inconsistencies.

Test Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and fixes.

Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product managers to understand the software features and provide feedback.

Test Execution: Perform different levels of testing, including smoke, integration, system, and regression tests. Feedback Loop: Provide clear and concise feedback to developers about defects and improvements for software functionality.

Documentation: Create and maintain accurate testing reports and bug tracking documentation.

Automation (Optional): Learn and apply automation testing tools and frameworks (for candidates who want to expand their skills in automation).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in BCom, BTech, or equivalent.

Strong academic record with a keen interest in software testing.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle.

Knowledge of common testing types (functional, regression, UAT, etc.). Understanding of manual testing concepts and techniques.

Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving attitude. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and testing tools. Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills (Optional): Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit) is a plus.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git. Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
