Junior Technical Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting production systems running Ruby and Node.js applications across EC2 and Kubernetes environments. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability and fast incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor applications and infrastructure using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
• Respond to production alerts, logs, and performance anomalies
• Perform basic log analysis and escalate issues appropriately
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to understand application behavior and deployment structure
• Assist with basic system operations and routine maintenance
• Document common issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps
• Support deployment verification and post-release monitoring

Must-Have Skills

• Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools
• Familiarity with log analysis using tools like Loki or similar
• Basic knowledge of Grafana and Prometheus
• Understanding of how web applications work (HTTP, REST APIs)
• Ability to read and understand logs and stack traces
• Should have a good troubleshooting mindset. 
• Good communication and documentation skills

Good-to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Exposure to Ruby on Rails or Node.js
• Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, namespaces)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS
• Basic scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
