Position Description: CGI is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of dedicated working experience in Google cloud and 4 years of working experience on any other Cloud tech stack. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and managing our cloud infrastructure, leveraging your expertise to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our Azure and other cloud provider services.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and optimize Azure infrastructure to meet organizational needs. This includes overseeing virtual machines, storage solutions, and network components while continuously optimizing resource utilization.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Automation and DevOps: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and develop and maintain automation scripts for efficient provisioning and configuration of Azure resources. Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
Security and Compliance: Enforce robust security practices, which encompass identity and access management, encryption, and adherence to security policies. Ensure that Azure environments strictly adhere to compliance standards and industry regulations.
High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Performance: Design and execute high availability and disaster recovery strategies to enhance system resilience. Establish backup and snapshot protocols to safeguard critical data assets. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, deploying optimizations to improve system efficiency. Monitor Azure services for performance anomalies and lead troubleshooting efforts.
Cost Management and Documentation: Maximize cost efficiency within Azure by appropriately sizing resources and conducting utilization analyses. Implement budgetary strategies for effective expenditure management. Maintain extensive documentation delineating Azure architecture, configurations, and operational protocols..
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- A minimum of four years of dedicated experience handling the Azure platform.
- Proven track record as an Google Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Google cloud services and relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Administrator, Google Cloud Solutions Architect).
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud networking, virtualization, and storage technologies.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
- Thorough understanding of security best practices and experience with compliance standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Cloud Engineer experience with Google Cloud are beneficial.
