- Design and implement automated data pipelines using AWS Glue and Lambda to ingest, transform, and load data from S3 into Teradata Data Labs, ensuring daily refresh and historical data append.
- Develop robust ETL workflows and data models to support analytics and reporting needs, including schema design, transformation logic, and governance compliance.
- Design and implement data models and transformation logic to join multiple data sources, define calculated fields, and establish standardized classifications for reporting and analytics.
- Build and monitor scalable data models that reflect customer experience performance and enable strategic decision-making.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through proactive testing, anomaly detection, and automated monitoring processes before data is accessible to users, upstream reports or dashboards.
- Collaborate with Digital Product teams to define and gather business requirements for new KPIs we want to measure as we expand our Digital Pulse Monitor—a centralized dashboard for all Digital metrics—and strategic initiatives in 2026 (e.g. Concierge, Connected Servicing, etc.).
- Develop complex SQL queries that leverage advanced techniques such as dynamic SQL for flexible query generation, complex joins and set operations, dynamic pivoting and unpivoting, query optimization for performance tuning, and sophisticated date/time calculations to enable accurate, scalable insights.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Solutions Data Strategy team to onboard external data sources and stitch together customer journey data across channels, starting with Quantum Metric and expanding to Adobe Customer Journey Analytics for holistic journey insights.
- Manage and optimize data infrastructure within EDW, including sandbox environments, production tables, and data refresh automation.
- Support the migration of dashboards and reports from Adobe Analytics to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), including auditing existing assets, mapping metrics, and rebuilding visualizations to leverage CJA’s advanced capabilities.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency during migration by validating reports, recreating segments, and training stakeholders on new CJA features for cross-channel insights and enhanced customer journey analysis.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards in Adobe Analytics and Quantum Metric, using Adobe Analytics to measure behavioral trends, funnel performance, and outcomes at scale, and Quantum Metric to surface session-level friction and technical issues that explain the root cause behind performance changes.
Delta’s Digital Experience Insights team is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across Delta’s digital platforms, including the Fly Delta App, delta.com, and airport kiosks. This role will play a critical part in building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure, integrating diverse datasets, and developing Tableau dashboards that centralize insights and eliminate manual reporting. The analyst will help govern a single source of truth for performance reporting, enabling business analysts, product teams, and leadership to monitor and optimize digital experiences. By leveraging tools like Adobe Analytics and Quantum Metric, the analyst will build other supplementary dashboarding solutions that uncover customer behavior patterns, identify friction points, and evaluate the effectiveness of new digital features. This role also involves exploring opportunities to enrich digital data and connect it with broader enterprise systems, helping Delta better understand the end-to-end customer journey and improve digital self-service experiences and containment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with an analytical mindset and a passion for scalable, customer-centric solutions.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or advanced analytics roles supporting production data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Hands-on experience building automated ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS, using S3, Glue, and Lambda
- Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins, subqueries, dynamic SQL, pivoting/unpivoting, performance optimization, and advanced date/time logic.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Quantum Metric for dashboarding
- Experience as a tech lead with experience in mentorship and guidance, task planning and delegation, collaboration across teams, and technical communication
- High attention to detail, solution-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Advanced knowledge of AWS analytics toolkit (e.g. Lambda, Glue, Athena etc.)
- Prior experience with Delta or other airline or Hospitality data a plus
- Self-motivated and take pride in building great products for key stakeholders.
