We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics initiatives within the healthcare domain. This role will drive the development of next-generation AI/ML solutions, shape technical strategy, and lead high-performing teams delivering scalable healthcare data products for global clients.

This is a leadership role requiring strong domain expertise in healthcare data, hands-on modeling experience, and the ability to align business objectives with advanced analytics solutions.

Role Overview

As part of Anblicks’ Data Science & AI practice, the Lead Data Scientist will:

• Provide technical and strategic leadership across healthcare analytics initiatives.
• Drive innovation in AI/ML solution development.
• Collaborate closely with global stakeholders, particularly US-based teams.
• Lead and mentor high-performing data science teams.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and high-quality delivery of healthcare data products.

Key Responsibilities

Thought Leadership & Strategic Direction

• Serve as the primary point of contact for requirement gathering and solution alignment.
• Partner with global product, analytics, and client stakeholders to shape product vision and strategy.
• Champion adoption of modern AI/ML technologies and cloud-native architectures.
• Provide leadership in data governance, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
• Drive best practices in scalable ML solution design and deployment.

Healthcare Modeling & Advanced Analytics

• Develop high-performance predictive and prescriptive models using healthcare datasets.
• Apply advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
• Design and implement state-of-the-art ML models (GLM, Decision Trees, Boosting, Bagging, SVM, Regression, Clustering, etc.).
• Lead model validation, enhancement, and lifecycle management.
• Drive innovation using modern AI techniques including deep learning where applicable.

Product Development & Operationalization

• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize ML models.
• Define KPIs and success metrics aligned with business outcomes.
• Ensure seamless integration of data pipelines and ML workflows.
• Identify automation opportunities and process improvements.
• Support closed-loop measurement frameworks and outcome tracking.

Quality, Governance & Compliance

• Monitor model performance and continuously optimize models.
• Maintain and enhance QA processes for data and analytics solutions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Oversee governance controls across healthcare data assets.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Machine Learning.
• 6+ years of experience working with Healthcare data and domain use cases.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading teams of 8–10+ members.
• Strong expertise in statistical modeling and ML algorithms.
• Hands-on experience in model training, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation, and optimization.
• Extensive experience deploying ML models into production environments.
• Experience building scalable ETL pipelines and data transformation workflows.
• Strong experience in Big Data and Cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, Spark/PySpark, H2O, or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to business stakeholders.
• Experience working with global (US-based) stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deep Learning and Neural Network frameworks.
• Knowledge of containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Kubeflow.
• Experience working in consulting-driven healthcare analytics engagements.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
