What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Lead Prices Data Analyst to lead our Price Data Operations team in India supporting prices global data operations. This managerial role is perfect for someone passionate about data and eager to lead a team to delivering market intelligence to the global energy and commodity markets.
You’ll collaborate closely with experienced analysts and engineers, supporting data-driven processes that ensure efficient data flow and analytics across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a can-do attitude with some technical experience in leading data teams.
The team supports Argus’ key business processes every day, as such you will be required to work on a shift-based rota with other members of the team supporting the business until 8pm. Typically support hours run from 10am to 7pm with each member of the team participating 2/3 times a week to support global 24*7 data operations.

What Will You Be Doing
- Setting up and managing metadata as well as data pipelines to ensure accuracy, and compliance
- Supporting clients with queries relating to:
- integration of Argus data and metadata into client systems
- data validation
- provision of data
- Executing queries to retrieve and manipulate structured datasets for analysis and efficient data workflows
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect data requirements
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Enabling an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Oversee day-to-day operations within the team
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics, discover training needs and resolve any issues or
Skills And Experience
- 3+ years of experience in similar data related roles, with at least 1 year of proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Demonstratable experience in working with SQL for querying relational databases, preferably in Oracle, including stored procedures, functions and triggers
- Strong knowledge of data workflows and database architectures
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of project management principles, including task prioritization and working within structured timelines.
- Ability to interact with non-technical people in plain language
- Innovative thinker with good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Numerically proficient
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
