🔎 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead – Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and scalability of high-performance web applications using Python and Django. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for building robust backend systems in a fast-paced product environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable web applications using Python & Django
• Understand product requirements and translate them into efficient, maintainable code
• Develop and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end and third-party services
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and stability
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and technical issues
• Maintain high coding standards and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth
• Maintain and update technical documentation
• Actively participate in Agile development cycles

✅ Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5–6+ years of experience in REST API development using Python-based frameworks (Django / Django REST Framework – DRF)
• 5+ years of hands-on web development experience with Python
• 5+ years of experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Strong database programming expertise (SQL, complex queries, performance tuning)
• 5+ years of experience with Git version control
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile environments
• Strong system architecture and design capabilities

⭐ Good to Have

• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience or exposure to DevOps practices
• Understanding of Kubernetes
• Experience with Scrum methodology
• API design and documentation experience (OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working in a product-based company
