Lead Software Engineer – Oracle HCM (Functional | Technical | OIC Integration)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer – Oracle HCM with expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Functional, Technical, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementations, integrations, data migration, reporting, and technical development while collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

This role requires strong functional and technical expertise across Oracle HCM Cloud modules, along with the ability to lead solution design, integrations, configuration, data migration, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements while conducting fit-gap analysis to design Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.
• Configure and implement Oracle HCM Cloud modules based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Design, develop, deploy, and support Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) interfaces between Oracle HCM Cloud and enterprise applications using REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Configure Oracle HCM modules including Core HR, Absence Management, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Compensation, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Performance & Goals, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Career Development, Opportunity Marketplace, and Dynamic Skills.
• Configure enterprise structures, legal entities, business units, jobs, positions, grades, approval workflows, notifications, security roles, security profiles, and Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
• Design and develop Oracle HCM technical solutions using HDL, HSDL, HCM Extracts, Fast Formula, BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, Application Process Flows, and Oracle HCM Personalization.
• Develop and execute data migration strategies, conversion scripts, validation processes, and system cutover activities while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Create reports, dashboards, analytics, and technical documentation including solution designs, data mappings, and conversion specifications.
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support.
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and business teams to deliver integrated Oracle HCM solutions.
• Raise and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) while coordinating with Oracle Support to resolve complex technical and functional issues.
• Participate in solution design, implementation, enhancements, and business development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 4–10 years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Functional, Technical, or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Strong expertise across Oracle HCM Cloud modules including Core HR, Absence Management, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Compensation, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Performance & Goals, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Career Development, Opportunity Marketplace, and Dynamic Skills.
• Hands-on experience configuring Oracle HCM Cloud enterprise structures, workflows, approvals, HCM Security, Security Profiles, and Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
• Strong experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, SQL, PL/SQL, and enterprise system integrations.
• Technical expertise in HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), HCM Extracts, Fast Formula, BI Publisher (BIP), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Application Process Flows, Oracle HCM Personalization, and data migration.
• Experience designing scalable Oracle HCM technical and functional solutions for enterprise implementations.
• Proven experience leading client workshops, requirement gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, solution design, end-user training, and post-go-live support.
• Experience in client-facing roles with requirement gathering workshops and stakeholder interactions is preferred.
• Must have successfully delivered at least three end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and test cycle management is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
