About The Role & Team
The Lead Test Engineer acts as a technical leader across multiple small to medium-sized projects with significant business impact. The role ensures that solutions developed meet long-term technical and business requirements while aligning with enterprise standards and strategic direction.
This position drives quality excellence, technical governance, process improvement, and people development within the QA function.
What You’ll Do
- Lead QA strategy and execution across complex programs.
- Architect and design testing solutions across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure all changes follow governance, audit, and security standards.
- Manage and advise on technical change request processes.
- Drive functional, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- Develop and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and documentation.
- Resolve complex QA, architectural, and performance issues.
- Implement performance tuning, quality measures, and secure design practices.
- Apply ISTQB principles and Agile methodologies.
- Lead continuous improvement and promote best practices.
- Use appropriate tools for change, risk, and issue management.
- Mentor and develop QA specialists and team leaders.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders, customers, and technical forums.
- Support business development and strategic technology initiatives.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a QA environment. 3+ years in a QA Manager or Technical Lead role.
- Strong expertise in software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with functional, integration, system, and UAT testing.
- Solid background in Agile development practices.
- Experience in configuration, risk, and change management.
- Proficiency with HP toolsets and development tools (version control, debugging).
- Good understanding of system integration and hardware environments.
- Expert knowledge of at least one solution portfolio.
- Strong grasp of software development principles and object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, system integration, and software security assurance.
- Experience with scripting tools, requirements analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Skills in performance measurement, optimization, and documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- ISTQB / ISEB Intermediate certification (or equivalent) desirable.
- Formal project management training desirable.
- Airline industry experience is an advantage.
- Delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions.
- Effective leadership of QA across complex programs.
- Strong stakeholder confidence and customer satisfaction.
- Continuous improvement in quality processes and standards.
- Development of high-performing QA teams.
