The Opportunity

UST is looking for 1 Linux System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure Linux-based systems in enterprise and lab environments. The role involves hands-on Linux system administration, storage and identity integration, security enforcement, troubleshooting, and automation in hybrid Linux-Windows infrastructures.

• Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu) Perform OS patching, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management Manage file systems, LVM, NFS mounts, automount (autofs), and disk quotas Integrate Linux systems with IDM / LDAP / Active Directory for authentication Configure and maintain network interfaces, IP addressing, routing, and DNS Implement and enforce Linux security policies; monitor system and security logs Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system resources Troubleshoot OS, package installation, performance, and configuration issues Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine administrative tasks Provide Linux technical support to users and internal teams Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge base articles
• Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience Strong expertise in Red Hat / Rocky Linux / Ubuntu Solid knowledge of Linux file systems, NFS, automount, and quotas Hands-on experience with LDAP / IDM / AD integration (SSSD) Strong Linux networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, routing) Experience with Linux security practices and log monitoring Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation using Python/Ansible Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills\
