Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

BrainsightAI seeks an experienced engineer specializing in machine learning applications or scientific computing. You will play a key role in refining and expanding our neuroimaging processing pipelines, contributing directly to advancements in brain health technology.

This role requires an engineer passionate about neuroscience, meticulous in their work, and committed to producing high-quality, maintainable software systems.

Responsibilities

• Enhance, optimize, and maintain automated neuroimaging processing pipelines.
• Ensure pipeline robustness, scalability, and integration across the software platform.
• Refine image processing algorithms for 4D MRI datasets, emphasizing accuracy and computational efficiency.
• Develop and implement tools for data validation, quality assurance, and preprocessing.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of analytics outputs.
• Prepare documentation to support regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, clinicians, and regulatory experts to align project objectives and meet clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Document software processes and contribute to regulatory submissions.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in back-end software engineering, particularly in scientific computing or machine learning applications (medical industry experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Python and essential data processing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scipy).
• Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle, including Git/GitHub, Jira, and code review processes.
• Advanced skills in algorithm development, 3D analysis, numerical optimization, and parallel data processing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to unit testing and module verification.
• Effective collaboration, communication skills, and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Highly Desired

• Master’s or extensive experience in neuroimaging.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with medical imaging formats (DICOM/NIFTI) and related libraries such as Nibabel, Nilearn, FSL, MRtrix, AFNI etc.
