Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Data Lakes and Data Warehouses on GCP.
- Lead the end-to-end planning, architecture, and implementation of BI/DW solutions.
- Develop and implement cloud-native data ingestion, transformation, and ETL pipelines.
- Prototype solutions, conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Work with a variety of SQL and NoSQL database management systems, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, and others.
- Optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity, security, and reliability.
- Build data structures and frameworks to support advanced analytics, statistical reporting (SSRS), and self-service BI capabilities.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable the development of machine learning models and predictive analytics.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in GCP data services.
- Utilize AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena) and Azure (Synapse, Data Factory) as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical Skills :
- Cloud Platforms : Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Mandatory, AWS (Redshift, Glue, Athena), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory)
- Databases : SQL Server, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra
- Programming Languages : Python, R
- BI and Visualization Tools : Power BI, Tableau
- Data Warehousing : Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
- ETL : Experience in designing and implementing ETL to Have :
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data warehousing concepts, and database technologies
