Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Developer to join our team supporting a strategic client, DXC Technology.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in mainframe application development and support, along with strong expertise in technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related tools.
The role involves working on both development and application support projects, requiring flexibility and a solution-driven mindset.

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Developer to join our team supporting a strategic client, DXC Technology.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in mainframe application development and support, along with strong expertise in technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related tools.
The role involves working on both development and application support projects, requiring flexibility and a solution-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe-based applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and associated tools.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Manage batch processing, performance tuning, and job scheduling using TWS.
- Coordinate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality application changes and enhancements.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and change management processes.
- Follow project delivery processes and ITIL practices for service operations.
- Maintain and manage code using Endevor.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for supported applications.
- Mainframe Technologies : COBOL, JCL, DFSort, Endevor, TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), DB2, IMSDB, MVS, MQ Series, SQL, Ezytrieve
- Tools : ServiceNow (ITSM), JIRA, Rally
- Domain Knowledge : Cards & Payments - Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS; applications such as Vision+, MBS, P1C
- Frameworks : ITIL (Incident/Change/Problem Management)
- Strong understanding of mainframe batch and online systems.
- Experience with end-to-end SDLC in enterprise-level environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt between development and support functions based on project requirements.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
- Experience in Agile project environments.
- Familiarity with financial domain, particularly banking cards and transaction systems
