Manual Tester

Overview

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have 6 months to 1 year of experience in manual testing with strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze software requirements and specifications.
• Prepare detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, and sanity testing.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs using tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure quality deliverables.
• Report bugs clearly with steps to reproduce and proper documentation.
• Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes.
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide feedback from a QA perspective.

Key Skills Required:

• Manual Testing concepts and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience in writing test cases, executing test cases, and bug reporting.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries (preferred).
• Familiarity with web or mobile application testing.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
