Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Network troubleshooting: Diagnose Layer 1-4 issues (Switching, Routing, DNS, Firewall, VPN).
• Firewall & VPN support: Apply and test basic policy, NAT, and IPSec / SSL VPN configurations.
• Incident response: Triage tickets, capture logs/pcaps, and escalate with clear notes.
• Documentation: Create concise KB articles, network diagrams, and configuration checklists.
• Continuous improvement: Lab-test new firmware, features, and security patches before release.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Solid grasp of network fundamentals (OSI layers, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, subnetting, VLANs).
• Ability to troubleshoot common issues with ping, traceroute, netstat/ss, tcpdump, Wireshark.
• Working knowledge of basic firewall concepts (ACLs, zones, NAT, stateful inspection).
• Understanding of VPN principles (tunnels, encryption, authentication) and hands-on with at least one solution (OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard).
• Familiarity with DNS operation & troubleshooting (A/AAAA, CNAME, MX, dig/nslookup).
• Comfortable in Linux CLI: file manipulation, system monitoring (top, htop, iostat), service control.
• Clear written & verbal communication for ticket updates and customer interactions.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with enterprise routing protocols (OSPF/BGP) or SD-WAN concepts.
• Scripting in Bash or Python for automation.
• Exposure to virtualization or containers (KVM, Docker).
• Basic understanding of PKI, TLS, and certificate management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
