Network Engineer

Lumen is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support our cutting-edge technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with both hardware and software components of network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Implement security measures to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data transmitted across the network.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements to existing network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostics.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
