Network Engineer

Overview

Responsible for Network order fulfillment by Designing , Provisioning and Audit a circuit path across the company network through network architecture, routing configurations, and documented design consumption rules.   Within the design responsibilities, it is accountable for producing an accurate design layout record that demonstrates an understanding of the products and their specifications offered by the company, and the scope of work requested on a Network order.

Job Description

• Should have very good knowledge of the PDH, SDH/SONET, DWDM & OTN technologies of the transmission Networks.
• Experience in Building of end-to-end circuit design of all Transmission product types and speeds ensuring optimal usage of the network.
• Proactively work with planning teams to pre-build end to end Designs when new equipment or locations are added to the network.
• Work with planning teams to pre-build end-to-end Designs to support groom and optimization projects.
• Work with existing Planning and Solution Architect teams to develop technically sound best in class processes.
• Using generic planning designs develop specific end to end planning designs.
• Manage network utilization in a specific region including grooming, installing and disconnecting cross sections.
• Good communication skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively.
• Knowledge of Inventory tools like PRO, PTD, TIRKS & ASRI
• Experience in handling Ciena, Infinera, Fujitsu & Alcatel DMX transport devices
• Good to know SQL, Python and Power BI
• Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM
