• Job Title: Network L2 Engineer

Location: Vile Parle, Mumbai
Salary: ₹5 LPA
Notice Period: 10–15 Days
Experience: 3 to 4 Years (Diploma holders must have 5+ years with 2 years post-CCNP experience)
Education:

• B.E / B.Tech / MCA / MSc-IT

Certifications (Mandatory):

• CCNA (Global Certification)
• CCNP (Global Certification in Routing & Switching)

Note: CCNP certification must be completed within 15 days post-selection if not already acquired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage technical aspects of network project implementation and operations.
• Troubleshoot and guide resolution of network-related issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot various WAN links.
• Diagnose and assist in resolving issues related to LAN, Hotline, IP Telephony, and WLAN.
• Review and vet configuration changes in routers, switches, and SLBs.
• Suggest, maintain, and implement routing policies across the network.
• Manage centralized router configuration, inventory, and IP address records.
• Assign access levels to L1 engineers and network personnel.
• Conduct detailed network debugging and problem resolution.
• Design and implement QoS policies and access control lists in coordination with the LIC Network Team.
• Contribute to network policy design and enhancements.
• Upgrade router IOS versions and troubleshoot related issues.
• Coordinate with field personnel, channel partners, and service providers for prompt issue resolution to ensure maximum uptime.
• Maintain and manage national load balancers (ACE), Cisco WAAS, and IP Telephony call managers.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L3 engineers and follow through till resolution.
• Assist LIC with feasibility studies and implementation planning for network upgrades or changes.
• Ensure network reliability and compliance with SLA requirements.
• Integrate and maintain networking equipment with Cisco-ACS, Cisco LMS/Prime, and other future tools.
• Update ticket status in LIC’s ticketing system and generate periodic reports.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on expertise with routers, switches, load balancers
• Proficiency in QoS design, IPSec, ACLs
• Experience with Cisco tools: ACS, LMS/Prime
• Solid understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 4 protocols: TCP, UDP
• Experience managing networks with 2000+ nodes

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must be on the vendor's payroll at the time of deployment.
• Willingness and capability to quickly achieve CCNP certification if not already held.
• Strong coordination, documentation, and SLA management skills.
• OR Diploma in Engineering with requisite experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
